Driver Hire has celebrated the sale of three successful franchises in the Midlands to ambitious new franchisees.

Opening a franchise is a career decision that will take many people to retirement, but when it’s time to enjoy a well-earned rest, or if you decide to move onto pastures new, it’s important to find an excellent replacement. That’s why Driver Hire has been celebrating the sale of three of its successful Midlands franchises, as it looks like they’re going to be in excellent hands with their new franchisees.

Paul Crossley purchased the Stoke location of the business franchise after wanting to become his own boss. Crossley has spent more than 10 years in the recruitment industry, working as a Client Relationship Manager for a leading recruitment payroll and accountancy business. He explained:

“The idea of a buying a Driver Hire franchise came to me when I was on my honeymoon last year! I discussed the idea with Nina, my wife, and she agreed that it sounded like a good investment. I’ve bought the franchise with a view to growing it and, as my own boss, benefiting directly from its success.”

Over in Derby, Darren Hooley snapped up a Driver Hire resale. After spending more than 30 years in the construction industry, working his way up to director level, he decided to look into the world of franchising. Darren explained why he chose to join Driver Hire.

“I researched several franchising opportunities before settling on Driver Hire. Moving from construction to recruitment isn’t totally random. In two of my previous jobs, I’ve been responsible for transport, working with driver recruitment agencies. That’s gave me a good insight into what makes a good recruitment business.”

Completing the trio of resales is Michael Goodfellow, who is now the new owner of Driver Hire Nottingham. Michael’s excellent career in sales spans more than 30 years, with his most recent role being General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Asia for a multi-national company. After years working for others, Michael decided that it was now time to become his own boss.

“I did a massive amount of research and due diligence before settling on Driver Hire,” says Michael. “It has a great business model and I’m keen to meet local businesspeople to explain how our recruitment and training services can help them.”

Driver Hire’s Franchise Sales Director, Graham Duckworth, welcomed the trio of ambitious franchisees to the network.

“The opportunities for business growth backed by outstanding levels of franchisor support continue to make Driver Hire a highly attractive franchise proposition. We’re delighted that Paul, Darren and Michael are joining our network and look forward to helping them develop their respective businesses.”
