Rob and Sam Simpson win ‘Franchisee of the Year’ at Dwyer Group’s EU Reunion.

Drain Doctor East Anglia franchisees Rob and Sam Simpson were honoured with the title of ‘Franchisee of the Year’, beating hundreds of others to the title. In an awards ceremony held at parent company Dwyer Group’s EU Reunion, who own seven European brands including Drain Doctor, the award was given to the Simpsons for excelling in every area of business.

The Simpsons have been Drain Doctor franchisees for eight years and cover the whole of East Anglia with their four franchise territories. With their combination of Rob’s sales experience and Sam’s entrepreneurial flair from running an interior design business, the couple quickly became successful. Now, with an annual turnover of £1.7million, they aim to grow a further 30% in 2018, taking them to £2.2million.

Their nomination was earned by their commitment to growing and consistently performing well, as well as their ability to go above and beyond expectations. Gareth Meadows from their area also won Technician of the Year for exceptional service.

Pierre Jeannes, Vice-President of Operations for Drain Doctor, congratulated the Simpsons on their award, calling them “ideal franchisees” and “a fantastic representation of Drain Doctor’s values [by] consistently looking for ways to impress their customers.”

Rob and Sam Simpson were delighted by the win, commenting: “We were really honoured to win this award, and to even be considered, after knowing the other great franchisees in the network.”

They said that the recognition motivated them to continue growing their business and thanked their team of technicians and office staff for their hard work, saying that without them “we would not be where we are today.”

They added their thanks to Dwyer Group, for “providing us with the support and infrastructure needed to succeed” by investing their time and money in the business.

The awards ceremony was held in Berlin to celebrate leading franchisees and included Franchisee of the Year, President’s Award, Technician of the Year and Business Growth of the Year.
