Founded in 1977 by Daniel Moquet himself, the eponymous company specialised in the creation and installation of paths until the 90s. However, Moquet realised that he needed to strengthen his business to set him apart from his competitors. So, he created a fool-proof working method that could be followed by his employees to ensure consistency throughout the business and built strong relationships with industrial companies that helped him to create new, innovative products. With its wide range of eco-friendly, easy-drain materials, Daniel Moquet’s popularity began to rise.
In 2003, daughter Pauline was put in charge of his second company. Following the success of his second business, he decided to begin franchising. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength and was ranked as the Top Franchise Network in France of 2017 and scooped four more awards including France’s most profitable franchise. It now has more than 200 franchises across France, Spain and Belgium and new locations planned for the UK and Germany.
Franchisees will receive an extensive package of training, including 20 days pre-training at another successful franchise and six weeks of intensive training at the Daniel Moquet headquarters. In addition, for the first four weeks of business they’ll receive onsite assistance to help overcome any teething problems. No experience is required in the landscaping or building sector, however the franchise recommends that new applicants speak French to make communication easier between head office and franchisees.
