Countrywide Grounds Maintenance celebrates securing a big contract that will see it tackle all of a Welsh council’s grass cutting.
Landscaping franchise Countrywide Grounds Maintenance has secured a fantastic new contract that will see it cutting grass for the Vale of Glamorgan council. As well as being a brilliant win for the franchise, it will save the council an estimated £100,000 in fees as it will no longer have to rely on costly agency staff to keep the county’s grass neat and tidy.
The contract will see Countrywide provide its services for up to four years on a flexible contract, which will see its staff tackle areas such as parks, sports fields and schools. It will allow the council to adjust the number of cuts it needs in line with budget changes in the future, while still providing regular work for the gardeners of Countrywide.
Ian Michael, Countrywide Grounds South Wales’ Regional Director, commented on the fantastic contract win.
“It is great to win this grass cutting contract with the Vale of Glamorgan Council and to be able to support them with their cost-cutting. Not only are our teams trained to the highest standards, but they have the commitment and enthusiasm necessary to provide a service that’s second to none and we will ensure that we will always provide a service to ensure that the verges and green spaces always look their best. We are really excited to have already started the work and look forward to the seasons ahead.”
Since it was set up in 1984, Countrywide Grounds Maintenance has grown impressively to have more than 12,000 site location across the UK. It has more than 50 franchised regional offices up and down the country and is part of highly successful franchise parent brand Dwyer Group, which it joined in 2017.
