Philip Young, the owner of Cheshire Countrywide Grounds Maintenance, has won a major European Business Award.
Philip Young first launched his Countrywide Grounds Maintenance franchise 14 years ago. Back then, the thought of his work being recognised at a continental franchise awards would have been beyond his wildest dreams. But last month he was named Franchisee Year of the Award 2019 by Neighbourly, the globe’s leading franchisor of home services brands.
During his business journey with the landscaping franchise, Philip has grown his franchise to 26 employees. All of them are based in the Cheshire area and work together to deliver a top-notch service that has helped them to build strong relationships with companies in the local area.
Whatever the size of the problem, Philip and his team offer gardening solutions that get the job done. They have offered tree maintenance, grass cutting, weed killing and gutter clearing services, amongst others, to clients in the Cheshire region.
Philip was overjoyed to receive recognition at such a prestigious ceremony. He said: “It is great to receive the recognition for our achievements over the past 14 years. It is a huge endorsement for me, both personally and professionally.”
Philip was keen for the award to be shared with the whole team: “Countrywide Cheshire is not just about me – we have a fantastic team of office staff and groundsmen who are continually delivering a world-class service to our customers and a fantastic supportive family, so without them we would not be celebrating this success today.”
Philip’s son, Tim, has recently joined the business. Philip hopes to soon hand over the business to him and begin his hard-earned retirement. If you too want to follow in Philip’s footsteps by becoming a Countrywide Grounds Maintenance franchisee, you can find out more information here on Point Franchise.
