Mobile coffee van franchise Coffee Blue has said its Wales operations will be staying open during the newly-announced circuit-breaker lockdown.
On 19 October 2020, Wales announced a new ‘firebreaker’ lockdown. Similar to the earlier UK lockdown in March, people are being told to stay at home, with all pubs, bars, restaurants, gyms and non-essential shops closing. The lockdown will start on Friday 23 October at 18:00 BST.
Coffee Blue, which serves high-quality barista coffee, along with a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks to offices and workplaces, remains unaffected.
In a statement on the Coffee Blue website, the franchise said:
“As an essential food service supplying businesses throughout the country, our takeaway services can stay open during this period.”
Customers are, however, encouraged to contact their local branches directly to find out about any possible service disruptions.
Coffee Blue will continue offering 24/7 business and safety support to its network of current franchisees. It will also continue engaging prospective franchisees while abiding by the latest guidance from local authorities.
All visits to the head office in South Wales will be done by appointment only and will take the latest COVID-19 precautions into consideration.
Additionally, all Discovery Days will continue virtually through services like Zoom.
