Cash Converters’ annual charity event raised double its target amount for an incredibly worthy cause.
Cash Converters has found out that its 2018 charity event smashed its fundraising target, raising an incredible amount of money for the Dreams Come True charity who it hasbeen supporting for more than a decade.
Carl Murray, MD of Capital Cash (Cash Converters largest franchisee), Rhyl Cash Converters franchisee Richard Addison, and Paul Graham, finance director of Capital Cash undertook a mammoth 510-mile charity cycle across notoriously challenging terrain back in June.
They aimed to raise £25,000 for partner charity Dreams Come True, which lets terminally ill and seriously poorly children across the UK live their dreams. Cash Converters also sold charity raffle tickets in all its stores, giving customers the chance to win prizes including a 55” TV for just £2. Rugby team St Helen’s Saints is sponsored by Cash Converters, so sent its star player Dominique Peyroux to pick the winners of the raffle.
Peyroux also donated a signed shirt to encourage more people to enter the raffle and with the combined efforts of the heroic trio and the kindly sportsman, Cash Converters managed to smash its initial target and raise a fantastic £50,000.
Speaking about the amazing achievement of the dedicated trio and Peyroux’s generosity to donate his time to such a fantastic cause, Managing Director Tony Richardson said:
“I applaud Carl, Richard and Paul for taking on this mighty challenge. Thanks also to Saints’ star Dominique Peyroux for attending the cheque presentation and picking the raffle winners. Cash Converters is proud to support all our franchise owners in these wonderful efforts to support worthy causes in our store communities. Dreams Come True is a charity we hold very dear as it creates life-long memories for very special children and their families.”
