Over on Facebook, the Thai restaurant and delivery franchise dropped a new recipe for delicious, fresh Summer Rolls that can keep summer going just a little longer in the hearts of customers.
Camile Thai is well-known across the UK for its fresh, healthy Thai food options and flavourful ingredients. Recently, the restaurant franchise shared a Summer Rolls recipe, explaining that, “These are a staple of ours - incredibly fresh, and quite easy once you get the hang of it. This version is vegan, but they're infinitely riffable for whatever your preference.” To make these Summer Rolls, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 8-10 rice papers
- 100g of protein (vegan chicken, for instance)
- Baby leaves
- Iceberg lettuce
- A cucumber
- A carrot
- Pickled ginger
- Fresh chilli
- Mint leaves
- Teriyaki sauce
- A vegan mayonnaise alternative
- A warm (but not boiling) water bath
Then, start with step one: “Prep your protein how you like. We give our vegan chicken a quick char and toss with teriyaki sauce.” Step two: “Cut your iceberg, carrots and cucumbers into itty bitty matchsticks. Slice your chilli.” Step three: “Stir your mayo and teriyaki into a 50-50 sawwwwce.” Step four: “Get everything handy for easy access - this is when the magic happens.”
Step five: “Dip rice paper in a warm bath until it’s pliable - about 20 secs. Place gently on a flat service - this is precious cargo.” Step six: “Fill up in this order: Protein > Veg > Sauce > Leaves > Mint.” Step seven: “Fold the sides, then roll up. Your first one might suck, it’s okay - you’ll get the hang of it.” And finally, step eight: “Garnish with mint and chilli. Eat to feel fresh and oh so healthy. Goodness, look at you.” Find out more about Camile Thai via the franchise’s profile page, linked above.
