Bright & Beautiful’s first investor has described how she’s built up a thriving business.
Faye Roddy set up her Bright & Beautiful business in 2010. It covers the area of Altrincham & Wilmslow and now has a team of 33 staff. Before investing in the cleaning franchise, Faye worked as a teaching assistant and as a part-time manager within the company. Having grown up in a family business, she had ambitions to become an entrepreneur.
Faye said,
“I set myself audacious goals and go after them, so this business is great for that. There are so many areas you can feel a great sense of achievement. I like to spin many plates and keep busy, plus I get to meet amazing people and see beautiful homes.”
Back in 2018, Faye was thrilled to be named Franchisee of the Year. Despite facing challenges along the way, the hard-working business owner has managed to develop a profitable unit. When she hit her first target, she bought herself a Mercedes CLA as a treat. She said,
“Your staff can be like your children sometimes and they can be hard to manage but overall, it is all good, they just like to test us from time to time.”
Now, Faye is encouraging other prospective investors to take the leap:
“Go for it. If you have patience, people skills and drive, you are halfway there! Embrace the point of franchising – you have a network family out there for support and a wealth of knowledge, so use it.”
In the next five years, Faye intends to exceed £1 million in turnover, set up a new office and install a fleet of new cars.
