Bright and Beautiful comes to Ipswich

A Bright and Beautiful franchisee has become her own boss, after spending more than 20 years in the education sector.

While Alison Chilvers had managed to achieve professional success in the education world, she’d always struggled to attain the good work-life balance she craved. Now, the former deputy head has joined cleaning franchise Bright and Beautiful and is looking forward to offering eco-friendly housekeeping services across Ipswich and the surrounding area.

Although she was successful and loved her job, Alison struggled to juggle her career, family life and role as school governor. She sought a career that would still let her help people but that offered her more control over her workload, so looked into franchising. Alison explained what inspired her to join Bright and Beautiful.

“I came across Bright & Beautiful after reading an article about women in business and felt inspired to take control of my own destiny. I fell in love with the brand as soon as I saw the modern, colourful website and learnt about their ethical ethos and standards. When I noticed there was territory available in my local area, I just knew I had to take the opportunity.”

She shared how her experience of sub-standard cleaning services also inspired her to provide her local community with a better option.

“I’ve had plenty of experience of hiring cleaning services in the past and have always been disappointed; I was fed up of having to constantly ask for things to be done when, really, a high-quality cleaning service should be able to do it all without having to be asked. I’m very happy to be helping people who are struggling to juggle work and home-life by delivering a first-class service, that always delivers on its promises, to the local community.”

Alison has assembled a team of three experienced housekeepers who will offer eco-friendly cleaning services across the Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds area. Bright and Beautiful now has 65 franchisees across the country and is on the lookout for new, ambitious franchisees to join its network.
