Betterclean Services is showing what it’s like to lead by example in the commercial cleaning industry in the UK. The Exeter boss, Caroline Spiller, recently won one of the Great British Franchisee Awards, one of the most esteemed rewards. It’s not only in recognition of excellent services but also how well the franchise takes care of its employees.
That was Caroline’s goal when she started the Betterclean Services business in Exeter. She was away of how poorly most employers treated cleaning staff, and she wanted to make a difference. Now, she’s seen as one of the top, most caring employees that makes sure her staff’s needs are met so that they can deliver satisfactory services.
Here are Caroline’s thoughts on the matter:
“Ever since I took on the Betterclean franchise, I've been working to address the **issues of low pay** and poor working conditions that typify the sector. Cleaners make up about 5% of the UK workforce, and many employers have historically **taken advantage of them**, often leaving cleaners in a poverty trap. I’m determined to buck this trend and want to demonstrate to other cleaning providers that **treating staff well** is now an important facet of business success.”
With this positive attitude and plenty of awards behind her name, Caroline will now be expanding into Taunton. She’ll be taking on more employees and treating them with the same amount of respect as the current staff enjoy. There’s no doubt that she plans to make a difference in many people’s and clients’ lives.
You can also make a difference while providing cleaning services to many home and businesses. With a low investment, you’ll be well on your way to awards and happy staff. Find out how by learning how to start your own Betterclean Services franchise business!
