Low-calorie menu brings healthy meals to Bella Italia.
Customers who hope to stick to healthy New Year’s resolutions this January will be happy to hear that the Italian restaurant franchise Bella Italia has curated an entire menu of low-calorie meals for the new year.
The new menu, which has been named ‘Less is Amore’, features two categories of main meals, with pasta dishes under 300 calories and other mains under 600 calories.
Pasta dishes on this menu achieve such a low fat content because the pasta has been substituted for spiralised vegetables and butternut squash ‘lasagne sheets’. Customers can dine guilt-free on meals like spiralised veg gamberoni and lenticchie ‘low’sagne, and even enjoy a veg pomodoro with just 134 calories.
Customers with gluten intolerance are also catered for on the new menu, with every item except the traditional ‘low’sagne made gluten-free on request. What’s more, four out of eight menu items are vegetarian, while three out of eight are also vegan.
Diners need not go thirsty either, with a range of skinny drinks and mocktails such as strawberry lemonade and elderflower.
This menu complements the specific vegan menu developed by Bella Italia’s Executive Chef, Vittorio Lettieri, which offers a spin on typical Italian dishes, including bruschetta, risotto funghi and pizzas topped with vegan cheese.
And if that’s not enough, Bella Italia promotes a range of offers and discounts. Parents will be pleased to learn that from 12 noon every day, kids can eat for just £1 until 17th February 2019. What’s more, two-for-one cocktails are on offer as part of a Thirsty Thursday promotion from now until 29th March 2019.
Savvy shoppers can even turn their own workout into Bella Italia treats with Sweatcoin, the app that measures customers’ steps and transforms them into ‘Sweatcoins’ which can be spent on goodies from a variety of stores, including everyone’s favourite, Bella Italia.
