Baskin-Robbins has announced its seasonal menu which include new surprises and the return of old favourites.
As the festive season approaches, Baskin-Robbins is well and truly getting into the spirit of things with its range of irresistible seasonal treats.
The ice cream franchise has been celebrating a successful November, after teaming up with well-loved celebrity chef Carla Hall to launch its delicious Bourbon Street Pecan Pie flavour ice cream. The flavour was inspired by Hall’s Southern roots and packs roasted pecans, pie crust chunks and a bourbon caramel swirl into decadent bourbon butter pecan ice cream.
Hall revealed that she was thrilled to have partnered with the ice cream franchise, as she began her career at a branch in Nashville.
"My first job was actually at a Baskin-Robbins and I have been a fan of the brand since my scooping days in Nashville. My new cookbook ‘Carla Hall's Soul Food: Everyday and Celebration’ is about enjoying all occasions big and small and there's no better way to end a meal than with a scoop of Baskin-Robbins Southern-inspired Bourbon Street Pecan Pie ice cream."
Jeanne Bolger, Head of Research and Development for the franchise, said:
"We're so excited to [have] partnered with Carla Hall for our Flavour of the Month – Bourbon Street Pecan Pie – and provide a delicious dessert that our guests can enjoy with family and friends all month long. Carla shares our flavour every moment philosophy and the Bourbon Street Pecan Pie flavour reflects her dedication to celebrating all occasions with Southern-style comfort food."
This time of year also marks the return of Baskin-Robbins’ signature turkey ice cream cake. Although it doesn’t sound that appealing initially, the cake is simply a signature ice cream cake moulded into the shape of a seasonal turkey, complete with edible sugar cone legs. It’s available in any flavour of the franchise’s wide range of ice creams, including special seasonal flavours such as Peppermint, Egg Nog and Winter White Chocolate, which features cherry pieces enveloped in white chocolate ice cream.
