Barking Mad sets canine record

Barking Mad has set the world record for the highest number of dogs gathered together on a live video conference call.
Barking Mad achieved a world record to mark ‘Bring Your Dog to Work Day’, as it managed to gather an incredible 78 dogs to take part in its live Woofing Webinar.
Franchisees with the dog franchise gathered around their computers for the record-breaking event, which was organised to raise money for various canine welfare charities.
Karen Wright, who is the franchisee for Barking Mad Conwy Bangor and Anglesey, commented on the fun achievement.
“We were delighted to have 78 dogs join in with our LIVE Woofing Webinar. We hope everyone enjoyed the experience and had as much fun as we did. It was great to link up with the official Bring Your Dog to Work Day team. Our office dog, Paddy, was delighted to preside over proceedings, before the excitement got too much and he curled up and started snoring. We had great fun with this event but the day itself actually had a very important purpose too - raising vital funds for charities dedicated to making a difference to the welfare of dogs.”
Karen added that her love of dogs makes her job an absolute joy every day.
“As a dog sitting business professional, I feel incredibly lucky to be able to work with dogs and dog lovers every day. I am delighted to be able to offer a volunteer dog cuddling opportunity to dog lovers in my local area. For those who are retired or work from home and are spending large chunks of time alone, caring for a waggy-tailed companion on a temporary basis and meeting other like-minded dog lovers can be a lovely activity.”
Barking Mad was set up in 1999 and has grown to have more than 80 sites spanning the country.
