Barking Mad is on the hunt for dogs who made 2018 a special year.

Pet holiday franchise Barking Mad has been looking for the most exceptional dogs in the UK in its ‘the dogs who owned 2018’ competition.

In partnership with natural baked dog food company Laughing Dog, Barking Mad announced that it was looking for dogs across the country who have “made 2018 their own” by overcoming obstacles or simply brightening up their owners’ lives through difficult times.

Those who thought their pet had a shot at winning the title were able to enter the competition on Laughing Dog’s website. The fantastic prizes up for grabs included a Furbo Interactive dog camera worth £250, and £300 of delicious and nutritious dog food from Laughing Dog.

Lee Dancy, the brains behind the successful pet franchise, explained why they decided to partner with Laughing Dog to host the competition.

“Through our work as part of the UK’s largest dog sitting network, we encounter amazing dogs who brighten up the lives of those around them every day. Every dog is special in their own way but we wanted to recognise and reward a dog who deserves to be put upon a pedestal for their strength of character this year.”

The winner of the competition will be decided by Barking Mad’s head office at the end of the year and they’ll no doubt have plenty of fun reading the heart-warming entries from owners across the UK.

Barking Mad has more than 80 branches spanning the UK, offering a friendly and personal dog boarding service as an alternative to traditional kennels. Each pooch will be partnered up with the perfect hosts who are committed to maintaining their normal routines and minimising stress and discomfort while you enjoy a well-deserved getaway. By spending time with another dog-lover, your pet will get to have a fun and enjoyable break too, without the stress of an intimidating kennel environment.
