Barking Mad Dog Care has crowned Fife and Kinross-based John Elaine their franchisee of the year.
The results are in from this year’s Barking Mad Day Care award ceremony, and John and Elaine Warburton in Fife and Kinross have been crowned the franchisors of the year.
The pair celebrated their success at the annual conference, now in its 15th year. Held at Low Wood Bay Resort, the two-day event provides a chance for franchisees across the country to get together to celebrate their success and the achievements of the brand as a whole.
Peter Gorbing, CEO of Dogs for Good, spoke at the event to give franchisees an update on its success through the year. The charity was chosen by Barking Mad because it is closely aligned with the work the franchisees do for dogs and their owners across the country. Gorbing was pleased to announce that Barking Mad had raised more than £6,000 for the charity, enough to fund the training of a new puppy named Prince.
Speaking of the brilliant win for John Elaine, Lee Dancy, Barking Mad managing director, said, “our 2018 conference theme was ‘Together Towards Tomorrow’ and I believe that John and Elaine operate with this vision at the very core of all they do. Their relationship with customers and in particular their hosts, is exemplary and as a result they benefit from the financial rewards those relationships bring”.

He went on to say that he was proud of all the hard-working franchisees that help make the brand the leader in its field.
Barking Mad is changing the way that dogs are cared for when their owners go on holiday or need extra help. It provides the dogs with their own ‘holiday’ that caters to their needs and personalities to ensure they still feel happy when their owners are away.
The franchise has been in business for over 18 years and there are now over 75 independently owned franchises across the UK.
