Pretzel franchise Auntie Anne’s has just unveiled new candy flavoured lemonades.

“How do you top Auntie Anne’s famous lemonade? With candy, of course”. That’s what President of Auntie Anne’s, Heather Neary, said of its latest innovation.

Throughout August, Auntie Anne’s customers can look forward to two new flavours of lemonade. Inspired by sweets, Sour Patch Kids and Swedish fish, the drinks will have distinctive tangy flavours and be topped with soft and chewy sweets in a separate pot. When someone takes a sip of the drink followed by a sweet, it is said to give them an unforgettable taste explosion.

Named Candy Lemonade Mixers, customers can order these at the nationwide outlets throughout August while stocks last. These new flavour twists have been introduced for August to help celebrate the summer’s hottest month.

Auntie Anne’s is also encouraging customers to pair their drink with an Original Pretzel or Pretzel Dog to get a unique sweet and salty flavour combination.

Neary also said of the release, “our new Candy Lemonade Mixers are unlike any drink you’ve ever tasted. You have to try both of these fun, bright, and perfectly instagrammable summer beverages.”

Auntie Anne’s regularly releases new flavours to tempt customers with. Last year it ran a poll online for customers to select their preferred flavour from a number of new options, such as chocolate cherry, apple pie, maple brown sugar, s’mores, pink lemonade, Korean BBQ, dill pickle and buffalo wings. It also released a pumpkin spice pretzel for autumn and crème brulee.

And that’s not all; Auntie Anne’s also recently launched its own clothing line decorated with pretzels to celebrate its 30th birthday and raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation – a children’s cancer charity.

Championing pretzels, Auntie Anne’s is a much-loved global brand. It has stores in more than 25 countries, selling its delicious snacks to those who love pretzels as much as its staff do. The brand has over 1,400 outlets in shopping centres, supermarkets, universities, airports, military bases and food trucks. It has grown to become the world’s largest pretzel retailer since it was first established as a market stand in 1992.
