Auntie Anne’s helps raise money for children’s cancer charity

Auntie Anne’s has worked in partnership with Lendmark Financial Services to support a US-based cancer charity.
The takeaway franchise set up a pretzel truck in the car park of Lendmark’s Princeton location to help the company raise funds for CURE Childhood Cancer. Hungry customers queued to pick up their favourite Auntie Anne’s treat from the colourfully branded food van.
CURE Childhood Cancer works hard to support young people who are affected by the disease, as well as their families. Thanks to valuable contributions, it’s able to provide hot food, essentials and even grants for medical bills to those who need support. It also gives supplies to cancer research.
Diane Hopkins, a Financial Loan Consultant at Lendmark, revealed the Auntie Anne’s food truck was on-site for six hours to help them make as much money as possible. It generated almost $700 for charity, all of which will be sent to CURE Childhood Cancer.
The Princeton Lendmark branch booked the food truck in place of its usual fundraising effort. Normally, all the Lendmark sites across the US unite for the annual ‘Climb to a Million’ event. The day sees employees walking millions of steps around tracks and up stadiums to generate cash, but this year it had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Princeton business also likes to host an annual cookout, but this year it decided to try something different. Auntie Anne’s was able to help the financial company organise a fun day filled with tasty food options, whilst keeping everyone safe. Diane was so pleased with the event she hopes to hire the pretzel truck again later in the year.
Lendmark is keen to continue its fundraising efforts and make even more money for the fantastic CURE Childhood Cancer over the coming months.
