Auntie Anne’s has announced the launch of its latest franchise unit, which is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The branch shares a business premise with Jamba (formerly Jamba Juice), also owned by Auntie Anne’s parent group, Focus Brands Inc. It’s located at 1614 W. Wisconsin Ave., between Cousins Subs and Maki Yaki Japanese Grill, in a property previously occupied by Pita Brothers. It’s on the west end of Marquette University’s campus, and the unit is leased from the institution itself.
The owner of the takeaway franchise branch, Cherie Blackman, celebrated launch day on Thursday 17th December, after work to prepare the site was completed in November. Now, locals can enjoy American-style soft pretzels and nutritious smoothies when they visit the location.
According to Cherie, this Auntie Anne’s location is the “first of many” quick-service franchise units to be set up by her business, MC LAB Enterprises. She said,
“We are so very excited to bring this [dual-brand store] to the Milwaukee community. We looked around the city at many locations, and when we came across this location, it just felt like home.”
Cherie is in the process of hiring employees to represent the store and applying for a licence to keep it open into the late evening. At the moment, it’s welcoming customers from 9 am every day and offering a takeaway service, with a small number of chairs available inside.
The new Auntie Anne’s location is one of 17 branches of the food franchise in operation in Wisconsin.
