Auditel franchisees provide six-month update

Auditel franchisees launched their franchise unit in September last year, and have described how they’ve found their first six months in business.

Cardiff-based friends Huw Williams and David James had over three decades of sales and business management experience when they became franchisees. They combined their knowledge with the expert guidance of Auditel to establish a profitable business.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the two investors have already completed several successful projects.

David said,

“Even before the training started we had undertaken a detailed marketing planning session. Then, after we had received the comprehensive sales training, we felt enthused and empowered to continue at pace.”

He described one particular achievement they’ve celebrated:

“One client we work with has had an extremely successful outcome, where 100 percent landfill became 100 percent recycling, which saved them 45 percent of their annual waste bill! This was a fantastic result for everyone involved.”

Huw and David joined the consulting franchise just as it launched its Carbon Strategy Group, a procurement and sustainability team dedicated to helping organisations meet their ‘net zero’ targets. As a result, the pair have been able to explain government targets in detail to support their clients’ growth.

According to David, one of the most exciting aspects of running an Auditel franchise unit is leveraging expertise in different categories across the network of franchisees. He explained,

“We work under a ‘joint venture’ process with the other franchisees. It’s a really great network and we’ve got to know so many of the other Auditel franchise ‘affiliates’ within a short space of time. We are really looking forward to the National Conference and Regional Meetings returning hopefully soon so that we can meet everyone directly in person!”

Huw and David are now looking to the future, and have set themselves the target of clocking up 10 clients this year.
