Aspray warns customers to be gas safe over Christmas

Christmas is a particularly dangerous time of the year when it comes to gas fires and gas safety concerns, so the management franchise recently took the time to caution festive vigilance.
Aspray is passionate about the safety of its customers, and though it manages repair claims, it’s also always happy to provide damage prevention advice to its customers. According to the management franchise, the most dangerous time of the year in terms of gas safety is 100% Christmas, but precautions can be taken to mitigate the risks and prevent hazards. In Aspray’s words, “Most house fires that are caused by gas happen on 25th December, according to the Gas Safe Register.”
Despite this scary stat, “Only 5% of adults put a gas safety check on their to-do list in the run up to Christmas.” AND 19% of homes have not had their appliances legally checked, which leaves up to 12 million potentially living alongside dangerous gas appliances. To enjoy their festive seasons worry-free, Aspray recommends that its customers do the following:
- Only use a gas-safe registered engineer when gas work is being carried out in your home
- “Trust the Triangle” and always ask to see your engineer’s Gas Safe ID card
- Set up a yearly reminder letting you know your appliances are due their annual check
- Speak to your energy supplier to see if they can provide a gas safety check for you
- If you think there may be a gas leak/can smell gas, immediately call the 24-hour national gas emergency number, which is 0800 111 999
If you’d like to invest with the property repair and claims management company that’s always putting its customers first, you can become an Aspray franchisee for a minimum initial investment of £15,000, with franchise fees of £28,000, a total investment cost of £43,000 and a monthly operating fee charged at £275.
