Aspray warns customers to be gas safe over Christmas

Christmas is a particularly dangerous time of the year when it comes to gas fires and gas safety concerns, so the management franchise recently took the time to caution festive vigilance.

• Only use a gas-safe registered engineer when gas work is being carried out in your home
• “Trust the Triangle” and always ask to see your engineer’s Gas Safe ID card
• Set up a yearly reminder letting you know your appliances are due their annual check
• Speak to your energy supplier to see if they can provide a gas safety check for you
• If you think there may be a gas leak/can smell gas, immediately call the 24-hour national gas emergency number, which is 0800 111 999
