Angela’s Swim School reaches top 3 in category at BFA HSBC Franchise Award 2018.
Angela’s Swim School has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Emerging Franchisor of the Year category of the BFA HSBC Franchise Awards for 2018.
The swimming school franchise, which was established in 2002 by former 400m and 800m freestyle British champion Angela Wilson, has been celebrating the acknowledgement. The Emerging Franchisor category is designed to recognise franchisors who are building a strong foundation and business infrastructure, to ensure their business can sustain growth and overcome any challenges as it does so.
The awards are run by the British Franchise Assosciation (BFA), which was established in 1977 to promote ethical practice within the world of franchising and ensure companies are run responsibly. The accolades are given to franchisors and franchisees who have gone the extra mile for their business, with their knowledge, achievements and innovative methods.
Wilson decided to franchise the business as it grew, allowing more clients to benefit from her expertise and methods that resulted in proven success. Franchises are tailored to their franchisees, with an extended period of marketing for each new opening to maximise its chances of becoming established as a successful, healthy business.
Angela remarked that she was “honoured” to have been shortlisted.
Andrew Brattesani, UK Head of Franchising for award sponsor HSBC, said that the company is thrilled to be lending its support to the Franchise Awards once again.
“Franchise businesses are often the hidden engine of business growth in the UK and it is essential to highlight the important contribution both large and small businesses make to our economy. It is also important to showcase to people that they can run their own businesses and if you don’t want to go it alone, or haven’t got a strong business idea of your own, you can still be successful and become your own boss.”
Angela’s Swim School provides swimming lessons that have a proven success rate to people of all ages. Whether it’s for children learning to swim, adults looking to improve their water confidence or find a fun way to get fit, Angela’s can help.
