In Newcastle’s Eldon Square, you can find a TGI Friday’s like no other in the UK. The award-winning American restaurant chain opened a restaurant with a modern futuristic feel that offers a unique culinary and entertainment experience.
The a-one-of-a-kind TGI Friday restaurant in Newcastle’s Eldon Square opened its doors on 31st October offering consumers something they want to come back for – tricks and treats, great food, live music and DJ’s from Friday’s-first stage and performance area. Already the fourth Fridays to open in the area, local customers cannot seem to get enough of the brand’s unique dining experience. With modern fresh new and spacious interiors, and light and bright lounge bar area that can be used for all occasions – from romantic dinner ‘a deux’, family night out, relaxing in one of Friday’s comfortable sofas with a laptop and a cup of coffee, dancing to the grooves of a live band or DJ. Open for breakfast with menu’s tailored to different times of the day and each occasion – what will it be? A Jack Daniel’s American Breakfast? Or a bottomless Prosecco brunch?
TGI Fridays is in full expansion on the lookout for more outlets to bring on board its 82-strong chain. The private-equity owned company has opened five new premises, including its Newcastle’s one-of-a-kind eatery, and is seeking more franchise opportunities. Electra Partners acquired the UK franchise of TGI Fridays in 2014 and it recorded a turnover of £211 m for the 52 weeks to January 1st, 2017, compared to £190m for the previous 52 weeks with pre-tax profits upped from £20.3m to £21m.
