Esquires Coffee, the Internationally renowned ethical coffee chain franchise opens its 52nd UK shop in Putney.
The ethical coffee franchise wildly known for its excellent coffee and sustainable business practices recently opened its first UK test kitchen in Putney and is now finishing the final touches for its 52nd coffee shop in the UK. Esquires Coffee’s 52nd shop is neatly tucked under the same roof of the company’s UK head office located at 285-287 Putney Bridge. The sprawling 4,290 sq ft space that previously housed Putney Canteen was brokered by David Kornbluth from CDG Leisure who commented on Esquires Coffee new shop’s location: “This location in Putney was an ideal choice for Esquires Coffee due to its adaptability. The ability to place the company’s office and a coffee shop together on site was a highlight.”
Founded in 1993 in British Columbia, Canada, Esquires Coffee is owned by New Zealand firm, Cooks Global Foods. The brand made its way to the UK and Ireland in the early 2000’s and has since grown its estate to over half a century of stores thanks to franchising agreements. The UK holds over a third of the ethical coffee franchise chain coffee shops with over 130 shops owned by master franchises and spawned across the UK and Ireland. Cooks Global Foods presented its plan to grow with a minimum goal to reach 580 Esquires Coffee shops worldwide by 2020 and from the looks of it, the ultimate results might exceed all expectations. Next month, Pakistan will see the launch of its first Esquires Coffee shop, with 40 more expected to roll out across the country by 2028.
