History of Rush Hair

Rush Hair opened its doors to the very first salon in Wimbledon in 1994. It was founded by Andy Phouli and Stell Andrews after they shared the same vision of creating an inspirational brand with unique and creative hairstyles. They couldn’t have known at the time that, 22 years later and operating from 80 salons, it would have plans to open 100 across the UK.

Let's now look at the opportunity in detail.

Becoming a Rush Hair franchisee

This franchisor seeks ambitious and driven individuals with an interest in the hair and beauty industry. If you don't have a background in hairdressing, don't worry, because this is not essential.

It typically takes about six months to open your Rush salon after you make your initial enquiry. You'll receive hands-on training so you can learn how to operate your new hair salon franchise and get to grips with the network's processes.

The Horsham salon has grown into the busiest salon in town, as well as being profitable. This was all made possible from the continual support of the Rush head office team. Proving the success of Rush, I have now opened my second franchised salon in Southampton. Huw James, Rush Horsham & Rush Southampton

You’ll also have the opportunity to meet Rush's Chairman, Andy Phouli, and receive a bespoke business plan with a suitable franchise location.

Once the agreement is signed, all your training, marketing, recruitment and shop fitting can start, and you'll continue to receive ongoing training and support to help you get your franchise off the ground.

If you are approved by the franchise, it won’t be long before you can start serving customers in your chosen location.

How much you need to invest

The cost of setting up a franchise with Rush starts with a minimum personal investment of £15,000. The total cost of a Rush salon usually ranges from £150,000 to £165,000.

Fortunately, this franchisor has a great relationship with finance lenders. This means you could benefit from very favourable funding terms to get the financing you need at the best rates.

It’s been my dream to open up a salon and I am absolutely overwhelmed that I am bringing Rush to Liverpool. Rush have provided my team with so much support and one-to-one training, I know that I would not have been able to do this on my own, I’m so happy Rush have enabled me to do this. – Natalia Valenza, Rush Liverpool

What you get for your investment

Training programmes are provided by Rush's Artistic Team, which will equip hair stylists with the skills they need to deliver an outstanding service to their clients. That means you’ll be supported by highly skilled, motivated professionals who have presented in prestigious shows and seminars all over the world.

With a Rush hair salon franchise, you’ll get the best of both worlds. You’ll have the freedom to run your own business and the benefits that come from being part of an extensive support network.

It’s an amazing time to join Rush to be a part of its success, which is clearly down to both talent and Rush’s investment in their team. The Rush brand is known for its excellence and its exceptional customer service. – Lucy Kundomal, Rush Ealing
