Water Babies welcomes it’s youngest-ever owner
Bolton-born Holly Unsworth has become the youngest-ever owner of a Water Babies swimming business.
23-year old Bolton-born Holly Unsworth is taking over the local franchise of Water Babies, the world’s largest baby and toddler swimming franchise business. The announcement makes Ms Unsworth the brand’s youngest-ever owner.
Ms Unsworth has worked for Water Babies for her entire working life, aside from stints at a milkshake bar and Nando’s. “I started as an apprentice six years ago," Ms Unsworth said.
“I have also been a pool attendant and a teacher and have worked in the office. But I have always wanted to be my own boss. I have always wanted to challenge myself.”
The announcement means that she will be managing operations across the entirety of Lancashire. It is certainly likely to be a challenge, but is one that is proving to be an exciting prospect.
“It will be really exciting seeing how it grows,” she said. “It will be a new challenge, but very exciting.”
Ms Unsworth officially took over the running of the Water Babies franchise on Monday 21st May. She is now in charge of making sure that classes run smoothly across ten different locations in Preston, Darwen, Blackburn, Lancaster, Thornton and Chorley. Ms Unsworth is taking over from Nayna and Kash Patel, who successfully run the Franchise for a number of years.
The Lancashire Water Babies franchise teaches around 500 babies a week. The sessions focus on teaching parents how to teach their babies to swim, so that they can support them as they learn an important skill and develop confidence. As the world’s largest professional baby and toddler swimming programme, Water Babies teach around 47,000 children at over 560 pools every singles week.
