Punch Pubs runs Community Hero campaign

Punch Pubs is encouraging customers to nominate local heroes after the challenges of 2020.
The pub franchise has launched its Community Hero campaign to celebrate people who have done something special for the residents in their local area. Across the business’s network, there are 1,200 publicans and a huge pool of customers, and many will have worked hard to support their community during 2020.
People can nominate worthy candidates using the application form on the Punch Pubs website, and the winner will be given £1,000 and have a cask ale named after them. Plus, the next two runners up will receive £500 and £250 in cash prizes. Punch Pubs is accepting nominations until the end of February and will contact each winner before the end of March.
The franchise hopes its campaign will encourage people to share amazing stories of real-life local heroes and help bring people together during a difficult time.
Punch Pubs’ Marketing and Strategy Director, Russell Danks, said,
“More than ever before, we have seen people from all walks of life stepping up to do fantastic things for their communities. The Great British pub sits at the very heart of those communities and has continued to prove that it remains a central hub where people connect. A place where memories are made and stories are shared.
“Although we can’t be together in the pub at the moment, we want to hear these stories and give back to those who are dedicated to doing good and have provided vital support during a tough year”.
If you’d like to nominate someone you know, you should head to pubcommunityhero.com and fill in the application form before 28th February 2021.
