Electric Cars Next On the List for Mr Electric
Mr Electric has got the go-ahead from the government to install electric-car chargers.
Mr Electric has been helping customers across the UK solve their electric issues for years. It may be known for fixing electric problems at home and in offices, and installing new fittings for customers across the UK, but it is now venturing into the world of electric cars.
The UK currently has 15,851 registered EV points across the UK, which electric and hybrid car owners can use to charge up their vehicles. There is a continually growing need for charging points as more car owners are turning to this more eco-friendly way of motoring. It is an obvious way for Mr Electric to expand its offering, but in order to install these charging points, the government must approve them first – luckily the permission has come through.
Mr Electric can now install electric car charging points for homes, workplaces and other public locations across the UK. It also has the permission to keep them working efficiently with regular inspections and any repairs. This extra wing to its business helps Mr Electric become a one-stop shop for all electric needs.
Electric car owners can apply for grants from the government to help pay for the installation of the charging points as part of an initiative to encourage people to choose these greener vehicles. Mr Electric can also help people apply for these grants.
However, the race is on for people to take advantage of this helping hand from the government, as Mr Electric director, Stan Barlow, explains, “these grants aren’t going to last forever, so it is important that we get this message out”.
He goes on to discuss his vision for the future, “we firmly believe there is a future in green technology and electric vehicles will play a huge part – in fact we are about to invest in an electric vehicle for our own team so they can use it for small service jobs and emergency call outs”.
Mr Electric currently has 12 locations across the UK, delivering all manner of electrical services and advice, including wiring, light installations, 24/7 emergency call outs, heating system checks and maintenance, and many more. The company started in Cornwall and Devon and has since become a nationwide franchise.
