Daniel Moquet runs socially distant open days

Driveway designer firm Daniel Moquet has worked to adapt its customer events amid the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
The landscaping franchise has been in the business for 40 years and has more than 230 contractors on its books, so it’s very well placed to adapt to changing times. One franchisee, Mr Lemoine, who joined the firm 10 years ago, explained why customers seem to be scrutinising their driveways, patios and paths more than ever:
"In the past, the exterior was done once all the work was completed in the house. Now, our clients tell us that they have become aware that the exteriors are an integral part of the home and that they now have spaces dedicated to each utility: a terrace for their meals, a clean walkway to lead to the front door, a pool deck to relax.
"After spending two months at home, they had time to maintain their garden and to think precisely about how they could improve it. They tell themselves that if this situation happens again, they want to be able to enjoy their whole property. And for some, who are not going on vacation this summer, they want to use their vacation budget for this kind of work."
So, Daniel Moquet isn’t slowing down amid government restrictions. It’s re-evaluated its approach and organised a new series of open days in outdoor showrooms, adhering to all the relevant social distancing and health and safety regulations.
Customers who attend can ask all the questions they have. The Daniel Moquet team is ready and waiting to discuss all sorts of topics, from ideal locations to timespans to combining multiple surface types. They’re also on hand to offer advice about stagnant puddles, weeds and unsuitable swimming pool surrounds.
Daniel Moquet is one of the many franchises successfully adapting and evolving to survive in the coronavirus outbreak. If you’d like to find out more about becoming a franchisee, head to our franchise pages.
