Cinnabon to open new store down-under

Global bakery franchise Cinnabon is set to open its first ever store in South-East Queensland by the end of the year.
Cinnabon was founded in Seattle way back in 1985. Back then, the brand was serving cinnamon buns out of one bakery. Now, the brand is so popular that it’s earned fans all across the world including in the sunny lands down under - 7,496 miles across the Pacific Ocean from the original home of the brand.
The franchise’s newest planned bakery in South-East Queensland will become one of the franchise’s 1,200 stores worldwide. The exact location has not been announced yet - but it will be joined by a second store in Sydney, alongside 50 other earmarked outlets that could be opened across Australia over the next three years.
The Australian expansion project will be managed by Australian franchisor group Bansal Group, which currently operates 18 different supermarkets in the Queensland area. In 2016, the Group won the rights to roll out Carl’s Jr restaurants in the same area. With such an experienced franchisor at the helm, bakery franchise Cinnabon looks set to share the same success that has been achieved in Bansal Group’s previous projects.
Cinnabon’s arrival in Australia follows the bakery franchise’s move in late last year to open an online store in the US. Lucky American customers can now enjoy the delicious taste of Cinnabon across the country’s 50 states.
Cinnabon is looking for franchise partners here on the Point Franchise network. For a total investment of £139,200 you can be serving up your own warm cinnamon buns to commuters and shoppers across the UK. If you have food service management experience, suitable infrastructure team to back up your investment and expert local knowledge of your market, Cinnabon wants to talk to you.
