ChipsAway races bangers for charity

ChipsAway will be taking part in a charity banger rally that will see participants travel through picturesque French countryside.
Van based franchise ChipsAway will be entering the fun charity event Bangers4Ben this year, which will see them push an old car to its limits on a route through the French countryside. Specialist auto technicians Terrance Thant and Steve Perkins will be taking on the challenge on behalf of the franchise, which will see them embark on a four-day journey from Le Mans to Nantes. The challenge will take place between the 4th and 8th of October 2019.
Although the journey is bound to be picturesque, the pair will have the added challenge of the rally’s banger element. This means that the pair will have to take part in a car worth no more than £750 and wear themed fancy dress throughout the trip.
However, entrants are encouraged to make their cars look as beautiful as possible (in spite of their old age and less-than-perfect conditions), something that ChipsAway’s talented vehicle technicians are bound to excel at. Thanks to their training at ChipsAway, any minor dents, scuffs, paintwork damage and superficial repairs will be magicked away by Thant and Perkins, leaving the car looking better than new.
Managing Director, Tim Harris, expressed the franchise’s excitement that it was entering the fun event.
“We’re delighted to be able to get involved and raise money for this fantastic cause. Ben provides amazing support for automotive people and their family dependants, and we are hoping to raise a substantial amount of money to help them continue providing their outstanding service.”
At the end of the course, each team will auction off their car to raise money for Ben. The team that sells their car for the most amount of money will win the event.
