ChipsAway Stoke-on-Trent franchisees run the brand’s most successful franchise ever.
It’s been a great year for husband-and-wife team Cas and Phil Clifford-Wareham. Since it launched three years ago, ChipsAway Stoke-on-Trent has completed over 3,000 jobs.
Cas and Phil invested £250,000 of their savings into setting up the business in 2017 and their success has seen them recently win two impressive awards. In December, they were presented the ‘Car Care Centre of the Year’ and ‘Marketeer of the Year’ awards at the ChipsAway annual conference.
2019 was very busy for the couple. During this time, they transformed their mobile repair service into a car care centre at Trentham Lakes. ChispAway’s flexible business plan allows ambitious and successful entrepreneurs to develop their business and operate from a car care centre to help increase the number and value of repairs they carry out.
Cas commented:
“It’s a huge honour and privilege to be awarded Car Care Centre of the Year. We are incredibly proud of our team, who work tirelessly to achieve high standards in everything we do and share this fabulous award with each and every one of them.”
The franchise partners are dedicated to sharing their successes with the community. They have pledged to support Newcastle’s Alice Charity and often invite students and apprentices in to learn about the business and the trade.
“Our goal over the next few years is to keep growing the business and putting back into the economy, creating more jobs and opportunities for local people. We will continue to provide a service that keeps our customers com[ing] back time and time again.”
Their car repair franchise has grown considerably since setting up the business:
"From a husband and wife team at the start of year one, to a team of seven at the end of year two, we are proud of our growth and have expansion plans for 2020 which will see a further four members of staff join the team” said Cas.
The couple’s business is now in the running for the ‘Small Business of the Year’ as part of The Sentinel Business Awards.
Tim Harris, Managing Director of ChipsAway, praised the franchise owners:
“Phil and Cas’s hard work and dedication over the past three years has meant their business has flourished into an extremely successful car care centre.”
He continued:
“Phil and Cas have also maintained an exceptional level of customer service and this is why they are such worthy double-award winners and have a great reputation among the head office team, fellow network members and customers alike.”
