Subway Fans Down Under Tuck into Takeaway

Subway lovers in Australia will now be able to enjoy their favourite subway sandwiches from the comfort of their own home.

A new partnership between Subway Australia and Uber Eats has been announced and it’s good news for those who want to feast on their favourite subs but are less inclined to leave their sofas. More than 700 restaurants across the country have teamed up with the delivery provider and now people in selected Australian cities will be able to order delicious sandwiches, wraps, cookies and salads through the app.

Kate Brody, Director of Marketing for the sandwich franchise in Australia and New Zealand explained why it decided to partner with the delivery provider.

“In 2018 alone, lunch orders on the Uber Eats app grew by 102%. We know that searches for "nutritious" options in the app are also increasing and Subway is the perfect partner to help us respond to this demand and provide a greater selection of delicious meals to you whether you're at work, at home or even at the park."

She said that there will be plenty of choice for sandwich lovers across the nation.

“We know Australians want freshly made and nutritious lunch delivery choices, however, having your favourite Subway Footlong meal delivered hasn’t been an option for many people until now. Not only are all the Subway favourites, such as Meatball and Chicken Teriyaki, available with delivery, fresh new choices such as spicy Buffalo Chicken with Blue Cheese Dressing and Smashed Falafel with Tzatziki are also on the menu.”

To celebrate the partnership, new users of the Uber Eats app can get $10AUD off their first order with Subway, giving people even more reason to order a feast of sandwiches and snacks to their own home.
