Schmidt Kitchens has a head for heights

Schmidt Kitchens has completed its most daring installation to date – 2,000 metres up a mountain!
Schmidt Kitchens has been proving that it will truly go the extra mile to ensure its customers end up with exactly what they’ve envisioned. Its latest and most challenging task was to design a kitchen and wardrobe for well-known mountaineer Kenton Cool.
However, the kitchen franchise wasn’t designing a bespoke product for his home in England. Their task was to install and design their specially crafted products on the sheer side of Le Parmelan mountain, almost 2,000 metres off the ground!
The daring installation in the picturesque Alps will be featured in Schmidt Kitchens’ newest ‘Vertical Home’ marketing campaign, which is an eight-episode web series showing how the franchise takes exceptional customer service to new extremes. Demonstrating that the brand’s slogan ‘because you are special’ is sincere, Schmidt has set itself a number of challenges to show how far it will go to meet its customers specific requirements and address the challenges that their homes may bring.
The challenge was a huge success and the Schmidt Kitchens team says that a particular highlight of the day was watching Kenton whip up some scrambled eggs while he stared down into the kilometres of empty space below him. Despite the extensive installation process, the franchise says that no damage was done to the stunning mountainside as a commitment to protecting the environment is at the heart of the Schmidt Kitchens philosophy. The sleek and elegant Nano Black collection, which was used for the daring campaign, is one of the newest offerings in the Schmidt range and is bound to be a popular choice with customers.
With 80 years of experience crafting made-to-measure furniture under its belt, Schmidt is one of the leading kitchen and interior solutions brands in Europe.
