Rugbytots helps child overcome brain injury

Rubgytots has been telling the story of an Italian child who uses the classes to adjust to life with a brain injury.
Rugbytots has shared the story of one its bravest little sportspeople who has overcome serious health problems with the help of his Rugbytots class.
Simone, who attends the Parabiago classes in Italy, had a difficult start in life. At just a few months old, he suffered a large cerebral haemorrhage that dramatically affected his brain. Simone spent more than 300 days in hospital in the first few years of his life as doctors battled to save as much of the little boy’s brain as they could. However, he was left with serious weakness down the right side of his body and lost some of his sigh. It was up to medical professionals and his doctors to do all they could to improve Simone’s life.
As well as traditional physiotherapy and medical treatment, Simone’s father Fabrizio knew that his son would benefit from spending time with other children doing something active. So, he stumbled across Rugbytots. By attending the sports franchise’s classes, Simone was able to make fantastic progress as well as getting to experience the excitement of being part of a sports team.
Although the little boy still has impairments that he’ll have to live with for the rest of his life, the combination of traditional medicine and Rubgytots’ innovative programme that helps to develop children’s motor skills has helped Simone live a much better life.
Founded in 2006 by rugby-loving parent Max Webb, Rugbytots has grown to operate in more than 17 countries around the world, with 800 coaches in the UK alone. The franchise teaches children skills that will benefit them for life, including coordination, teamwork and following instructions, while letting them have plenty of fun too.
Rugbytots
Since Rugbytots began in 2006, we have grown significantly. 70,000 children in 17 countries on 7 continents are now part of the Rugbytots family. Key to this growth has been our network of like-minded, determined and passionate franchisees. Here in the UK, over 100 franchisees deliver more than 4000 classes per week. The demand for classes keeps rising, which means that the opportunity for new and existing Rugbytots franchisees has never been better!
