Right at Home collaborates with Free Wheelchair Mission

Homecare provider Right At Home celebrates Central America success after partnering with Free Wheelchair Mission.

With over twenty years’ experience in the USA, Right at Home expanded into the UK in 2010, and its latest venture has taken it to Costa Rica in a mission to deliver wheelchairs to those whose mobility and independence depend on others’ generosity.

Able to take part in Free Wheelchair Mission Vision Trips after collaborating with FWM in 2016, care franchise Right at Home sent 12 representatives from America and Canada to construct and donate 62 wheelchairs to worthy recipients.

Having worked alongside FWM to achieve its goals, Right at Home has been able to raise almost $200,000 which has been used to provide quality care for over 2,250 families.

Right at Home will continue its partnership with FWM, who has ensured that over a million people have received a wheelchair since 2001, and hope to double that number by 2025. While it is thought that, across the globe, 70 million people who need a wheelchair are unable to access one, FWM is steadfast in its aspiration to continue to deliver more than 100,000 free wheelchairs to those in need every year.
