A Metro Rod franchise unit is moving to a larger premises to accommodate the growing business.
The branch, which covers all of Lincolnshire, North Cambridgeshire, Hull and Beverley, is moving out of its current property in Nettleton, near Caistor. Its new premises, located in the Riverside Enterprise Park in Saxilby, is 4,856 square feet in size and has both office and warehouse space.
The move will allow for 10 new jobs, as Spencer Horsfield, Director of Maindrain Lincs, which trades the franchise unit, explains:
“We employ 26 people and it is great that they are all moving with us when we switch to Saxilby in February, when I am also looking to take on 10 more people. We currently operate a fleet of 26 vehicles. Our workload includes contracts with a wide range of clients, including local authorities.”
He continued:
“Our new premises enjoy an excellent location, giving us easy access to the A57, A1 and further afield, which will make it easier for us to service our network of clients.”
To make sure the building worked well for the business, the Metro Rod team collaborated with property development company Stirlin. Its Development Manager, Matt Padley, said:
“We have been working with Spencer and the team at Metro Rod on this exciting project for the past year, from design through to construction. We are delighted to see the building complete – it means a great deal to us that we’re able to help facilitate Metro Rod’s exciting business growth and expansion plan.”
The project was so successful that the premises was nominated for the LABC Building Excellence Awards by West Lindsey Building Control. The Metro Rod branch is looking forward to a bright future in its new location, building on the drainage franchise’s 30 years of success.
