McDonald’s franchisee, Jerry Nicholl, has reported continued growth this year with a 12.7 percent increase of turnover. Mr Nicholls, who runs several McDonald’s outlets in the Nottingham area has seen contiuned success across his franchise empire and is currently employing over 800 people across the region.
The remarkable story of Jerry started when he began as an assistant manager at a McDonald’s restaurant in Nottingham, 30 years later he became a franchise owner. The company also runs in the family- his Wife Fiona worked for the burger franchise for over 30 years before eventually starting her own franchise in September 2016.
Recently, the franchise owner saw refurbishments of 5 of his restaurants which was helped by the Royal Bank of Scotland. He said: “I am very pleased with the performance of the company during the last few years.”
"Growth, in terms of both revenue and the number of outlets we run, has, and continues to be, a key objective and it is great that our hard work has paid off.
“I have undertaken a number of considerable investments to not only acquire and create new outlets but also to update our existing stores to meet the modern image and standards set by McDonald’s.
"The new image is proving to be very popular and I am pleased to be able to continue my investment in the city and to be able to create jobs for the local community."
