‘Say Yes To The Dress’ bride puts her amazing pre-wedding weight loss down to Lighterlife plan.
Leah Forshaw has thanked Lighterlife for helping her lose more than six stone with its meal replacement and therapy programme. The bride-to-be has been featured on an episode of ‘Say Yes To The Dress’, where brides pick their dream wedding dress and says that the meal replacement plan has given her the confidence to walk down the aisle.
Leah, who is a project manager and busy mum, used to eat for convenience and comfort, blaming calorific sandwiches and junk food for her steady weight gain. She says that she wanted to be a good role model for her 4-year-old son and worried that her unhealthy relationship with food would start to affect him.
“We would spend a lot of our time together sat in front of the TV eating junk, but I desperately wanted to be a good role model for him and to be able to run in the park, take him swimming and to be more active.”
She adds that since starting the Lighterlife programme, she feels the changes she’s noticed aren’t limited to her fantastic weight loss.
“The Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques I’ve learned through Lighterlife have been fundamental to my weight loss success, and I no longer feel like I did, constantly trying to diet which took so much of my head space up.”
She added that she is now the slimmest she’s ever been and spends family days out at the pool instead of sitting in front of the TV.
Lighterlife, a weightloss plan that combines either total or partial meal replacement and CBT to permanently address members’ bad relationships with food, was set up over 20 years ago by Bar Hewlett and Jackie Cox and has helped thousands of people across the UK achieve a healthy weight.
