After being made redundant suddenly from his job in 2018, Adrian became a franchisee for the Stafford North branch of First Class Learning.

Since 2018, Adrian has come a long, long way. The 50-year-old father of seven was faced with redundancy out of the blue after decades working in manufacturing. With his future unexpectedly wide open, Adrian decided to re-evaluate his career, and he now runs his own First Class Learning franchise in Stafford, inspiring kids to get engaged with their education each day.

When explaining his path at that crossroads in 2018, and how exactly it led him to an investment in the tutoring franchise, Adrian said, “Quite a few years ago, my older children took part in tutoring classes and after many years of sitting in the car park, waiting for them, I did some sums and sowed the seed in my mind. I started tutoring my four older children for 11+ entrance exams and then progressed to tutoring the children of friends and family. I found that not only was I good at tutoring but it’s also highly enjoyable and rewarding.”

When Adrian realised he could make a career out of something he was good at and enjoyed doing, he was over the moon. He was further delighted by the flexibility that First Class Learning could offer him, and was extremely interested in the idea of making his own decisions and being his own boss, while still having access to a proven and successful business model. So, Adrian took the leap, and he hasn’t looked back since.

In his words, “I have been running my Stafford North franchise since June 2018, and so far, things are going really well. I have two classes per week on a Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, both have 17 students each but some double up with Maths and English, so I teach around 50 subjects a week.”

If, like Adrian, you’re interested in a career as a First Class Learning tutor and franchisee, you’ll need to make a minimum investment of £10,000. To find out more about First Class Learning, click the link above to visit the business’s profile page.
