Fastsigns’ CEO delivered the keynote speech at the International Franchising Association’s (IFA) Emerging Franchisor Virtual Convention.
Catherine Monson, who is also Chair of the IFA, was scheduled to share insights on the franchise industry to support emerging franchisors. At the end of a challenging year for businesses, the sign franchise CEO focussed on the ‘culture of a successful franchise brand’ and spoke about creating a feeling of positivity.
Catherine said:
"Assessing the health of a franchise brand means understanding the heartbeat of the brand, otherwise known as the culture. I'm thrilled to speak with attendees about culture as the foundation for the future growth and success of a franchise brand and the brand's franchisees in order to attract and keep customers coming back among a sea of competition."
The event also involved discussions about action plans franchisors can put in place to make sure they reach their targets in the future. Attendees were invited to consider effective communication strategies, infrastructure and ‘smart’ franchise sales. Speakers also touched on how to keep franchisees happy and profitable, and how to reinvest funds back into the business.
The virtual event took place on the 18th and 19th November, and involved a number of expert panellists alongside Catherine Monson. Other speakers included Joe Lewis, President and CEO of Painting With A Twist, and Paul Pickett, Chief Development Officer at Wild Birds Unlimited. Meg Roberts, CEO and President of The Lash Lounge, and Tony Valle, CEO at College Pro also gave their advice.
The event was sponsored by organisations including Paychex and Smart Books, and tickets were priced between £199 and £399.
