EVA battles its way onto the Point Franchise directory

Point Franchise has welcomed VR franchise EVA into its network as it looks to expand.
EVA, which stands for Esports Virtual Arenas, was founded in 2018 by Jean Mariotte, Stéphanie Belle, Sarah Tirmarche and William Klein. They wanted to create a virtual reality sports arena where users could engage in fun, competitive games together.
Using virtual reality headsets, up to 16 players can take part in an EVA match, moving freely in the dedicated match area and working with teammates to complete a game. Meanwhile, up to 500 spectators are free to watch the action from tiered seating.
The stadiums, which are between 200 and 3,000 square metres in size, feature all the facilities needed for a thrilling, immersive VR game. They include a ‘shoutcaster’ platform for commentators to watch and live stream the match, as well as a leisure zone where you can grab a drink or bite to eat in a quiet moment.
Any franchisee who starts their own EVA business will have access to all the tools and equipment needed to make it in the franchise world. All PCs, VR headsets, backpacks and other accessories are included in EVA’s start-up package – and if they break, the franchise team will replace them within 72 hours. Franchisees also benefit from personal training, an expert hotline, spare hardware and new games every six months.
To get an EVA stadium off the ground, the VR franchise asks for a minimum investment of £50,000. But, with the rising popularity of VR in the UK, this profitable business model has the potential to bring in £500,000 annually after the first two years.
