Chrysalis Partners founder reveals 2020 business changes

Since 2017, David Watts has been helping SMEs achieve their goals with high-quality transformation programmes using proven strategies.
Before becoming a business coach 15 years ago, David Watts enjoyed a successful career in the corporate world, taking a business to $10 million from virtually nothing. Now, he’s helping investors run their own franchise units under his brand, as well as supporting independent businesses.
“Most people… at some point in their careers have felt underappreciated and undervalued at work, building success for someone else and not for themselves. Chrysalis Partners allows you to build a business that is flexible and will add more balance to your life.”
Faced with the challenges of a global pandemic and lockdown, David was forced to review the business franchise’s operating model this year:
“It has been a tough year, but it has also allowed Chrysalis to learn to adapt to the changes, and shows that the support we provide to the franchisees is paramount.”
In response to the crisis, Chrysalis Partners reduced franchisee fees during lockdown and organised regular group Zoom calls. David explained:
“It is important for the Coaches to not only have a good relationship with us but also with each other, sharing their experiences and helping each other out during such an unprecedented time is something that underpins the Chrysalis Partners network.”
Despite the financial difficulties many businesses have faced, the franchise has still been able to welcome new clients during lockdown, one of which was worth £6,000 a month.
As more and more franchises move their franchisee training online, David is also looking at how Chrysalis Partners can deliver his induction package remotely. At the moment, investors take part in a five-day course in a luxury facility.
Now, David is looking to the future with optimism.
“We are constantly adapting to the new way of life, and I am always looking to rise to a new challenge. Chrysalis will be looking to provide a new opportunity to prospective franchisees and I am very excited to see where this will lead.”
