Canine Creche pampers its pooches

Canine Creche introduces its luxury services to the dogs of Suffolk.

A Suffolk branch of Canine Creche has reported success as dogs – and their owners – flock to use its ‘doggy day care’ services.

Pet franchise Canine Creche offers a new take on dog care. Offering swim sessions, shampoo washes and even beauty treatments, the franchise attracts customers who love to pamper their pooches.

Suffolk-based business owner, Candace Rose first launched her Canine Creche franchise in 2012, in Martlesham Business Park in the south-east of the county. Today, Canine Creche outlets can be found across Suffolk and beyond.

Rose said:

"That first week, I couldn't have imagined it would come to this. I thought, if I don't try it I will never do it."

That business move paid off, as Rose’s original Canine Creche branch now welcomes around 80 dogs a day. Since it was launched, the business has moved to larger premises on Sandy Lane in Martlesham and won several prizes. These include the Customer Care award at the East Anglican Daily Times Business Awards in 2016.

Rose explained why she thinks the business has taken off:

"People don't want old-style kennels anymore. Dogs want company, with other dogs and with people.”

She added:

"When it is hot, we have paddling pools outside, and sprinkling games."

Dogs are treated to a luxury experience at the Martlesham Canine Creche, with access to hotel-style rooms featuring beds and televisions, which they can watch with staff. The branch has also introduced innovative ‘canine conditioning’ classes that strengthen dogs’ cores.

"It is the latest thing from the USA," explains Candace. "Like Pilates for dogs."

If that’s not enough for dog owners, there is also a grooming spa and shop stocked with products such as dog food in a refrigerator.

The franchise as a whole has become one of the most successful dog care companies out there, and cares for more dogs than any other business in the UK.
