Cafe2U gave its support to the final ever colour run in Aston Clinton.
Cafe2U played an important role in the final ever colour run in the town of Aston Clinton by providing much needed hot drinks to the participants.
The event was hosted to raise money for the local Florence Nightingale Hospice in Aylesbury Vale, which helps people through their final days to die in comfort and with dignity. More than 600 people of all ages turned out to take part in the fun event, which involved participants running around a field showering each other in brightly coloured powder.
With the support of local business including coffee van franchise Cafe2U, the successful event has so far raised £18,000 that will go towards helping the hospice continue the vital service it provides. It hopes to reach its target of £35,000 soon and encourages everyone in the local community to continue donating to such a worthy cause.
Events manager for the Florence Nightingale Hospice, Vicky James, extended her gratitude to everyone who was involved in making such an incredible event happen.
"A massive thank you to everyone who took part and raised money, to all our volunteers who helped, marshalled and threw paint, and to the companies which supported the event which were Redrow Homes, Breaking Barriers Physiotherapy, Fitlife Haddenham, ACCO Brands Aylesbury, Mix96, Inspira Sound and Vision and Paul Biz, JBD Fitness & Dance, PrintLab and Hirebase and to the Aylesbury Lions and Cafe2U who provided refreshments.”
She added that the day was enjoyed by all and that she was already looking ahead to the Hospice’s next fun event.
"It was a brilliant day to finish our Colour Rush adventure and we are now looking forward to next year's family fundraiser to celebrate 30 years of the Hospice!"
