Wok & Go is leading the way as part of the fast-food movement and is firmly focused on the needs and expectations of today’s consumers. Wok & Go sells freshly prepared noodles and other Asian street food specialties in informal surroundings. The noodle bar concept comes from North America and has flourished in major cities by removing some of the traditional barriers to freshly prepared hot food: price, waiting times, location or availability throughout the day. Customers at Wok & Go have the option to order for collection, eat in or delivery.
TRAINING AND SUPPORT
With the growing network of company-owned and franchise stores, Franchisees will share the benefits of support provided by Wok and Go’s experienced senior management team.
Wok & Go have structured a very comprehensive training programme covering every aspect of the business, designed to fast track you through all the operating procedures. This consists of a 4-week training programme providing you with training on all operational aspects of the business, pre-opening training and on-site training once open.
In addition, on-going meetings and other brainstorming occasions will be scheduled as part of the franchise programme, to foster long-term relationships and constant improvements to help your franchise become a success.
HISTORY OF WOK & GO
Wok & Go was founded in 2008 by Desmond Pheby. The spark that started the wok flame was simple: a love for the taste, aromas and experience of Asian dining in New York City. Desmond’s vision was to bring the concept to the UK to meet consumers demanding needs ‘fresh food cooked in minutes’. Wok & Go is fast food but not as you know it, its fresh, hearty and good value for money. Our hearty noodle boxes are packed full with far East flavours making us a popular choice. Today you will find us in the UK across the North West, London, South West, Midlands and Northern Ireland. We are also an international brand and have sites open in Portugal.

COMMITMENT TO CORE PRODUCT
- Love for noodles and Asian food in general
RETAIL MANAGEMENT
- Understand the Wok & Go USP and have a basic knowledge of the consumer food service market
- Have business management skills, preferably in a food catering environment
- Have well-developed people skills
- Have good analytical skills
- Be well-organised and efficient
ATTITUDE & MOTIVATION
- Have entrepreneurial attitude, creativity and the ability to make sound business decisions
- Be motivated, energetic, hands-on oriented
- Have impeccable personal standards, honesty and integrity
PERSONAL CRITERIA
- Successful completion of the training programme
- Food Hygiene certificate Level 2 obtained
- Ability to successfully execute the Wok & Go franchise operational procedures
- English language proficiency
- No history of conviction for criminal offences
FINANCIAL CRITERIA:
- Minimum net worth of £200,000
- Liquid capital of at least £100,000
Previous entrepreneurial experience is a plus, but not a requirement since we place a high value on an individual's business acumen.
