Pizza franchise Papa John’s launched a special gift for pizza fanatics across the UK.
If you’re a Papa John’s mega-fan, you can now complete your look with £5,000 crust-encrusted cufflinks. The special gift incorporates its signature dough into the cufflinks by hiding it under the ruby and tsavorite-encrusted surface.
With Valentine’s Day just gone, Papa John’s has celebrated the month of love by partnering with the iconic London jewellers, DC Jewellery in Hatton Garden. They worked together to create the intricate, handmade, 18K gold piece.
But why have the cufflinks been created in the first place? Well, it’s in an attempt to encourage women to propose to their partners this leap year with this unique gift.
The special gift is even more extraordinary because of the creative incorporation of Papa John’s signature dough. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But the dough is hidden beneath the surface and the rubies mimic the pepperoni on the classic Papa John’s American Hot.
Papa John’s Marketing Director, Giles Codd commented: “We wanted to create something unique to celebrate the leap year and we think our 18K gold cufflinks are the perfect combination of romance and innovation.
“We never thought we’d be able to incorporate our dough into jewellery, but it’s happened, and we’re excited to contribute towards making one couple’s dream proposal come true.”
It doesn’t stop at the cufflinks, either. The pizza franchise is also offering the Papa John’s Engagement Package alongside the chance to win the cufflinks. The lucky couple will have a photographer there to capture the special moment, champagne and free pizza.
